Joel Osteen to Bless New Yankee Stadium on Saturday, April 25thNEW YORK, April 25 - Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN), America's favorite faith channel, is partnering with Joel Osteen, America's most watched minister, to broadcast a Historic Night of Hope from the Bronx. TBN has exclusive rights to the April 25th television special, which will be broadcast around the globe from New York City's brand new Yankee Stadium. The new ballpark in the Bronx's first non-baseball event, Osteen's Historic Night of Hope special event prayer service will feature messages of hope and encouragement from Pastor Osteen and Co-pastor Victoria Osteen -- author of the New York Times Bestseller, Love Your Life: Living Happy, Healthy, and Whole. The Osteens are quite at home in enormous sports venues, having captivated millions at arenas across the United States, Canada, and Europe. Audiences of over 40,000 regularly attend the couples' services at their Lakewood Church in Texas, former home of the NBA's Houston Rockets. Pastor Osteen is well known for his charismatic Sunday sermons and self-help books: Your Best Life Now: 7 Steps to Living at Your Full Potential and Become a Better You: 7 Keys to Improving Your Life Every Day. "Joel Osteen is consistently one of the highest rated programs on TBN, and one of several that has helped TBN become America's most watched faith channel," says Bob Higley, TBN's vice president of affiliate sales and marketing. "Osteen's Historic Night of Hope will offer much needed words of encouragement to TBN's vast audience -- not only across America, but around the world." The new 51,000-seat stadium will be blessed by Pastor Osteen during the event, scheduled to air on TBN from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM PST. Two-time Grammy award-winning gospel, jazz, and rock fusion artist Israel Houghton; Dove award winner and songwriter Cindy Cruse-Ratcliff; and the Lakewood Church choir will provide music and song. TBN's co-sponsorship of the Yankee Stadium event is the latest in a series of substantial commitments the network has made to the New York Metro area. Last year, TBN unveiled its new state-of-the-art HD studios at WTBY, Channel 27, located at the former Century Center for the Performing Arts in the heart of Manhattan. The network restored the theater to its former grandeur, a process that took nearly two years. WTBY is one of TBN's thirty-four American stations -- most in major markets -- that are currently multi- casting five faith-based digital channels offering programming for virtually every demographic.
