Bob Evans Farms employees have the opportunity to earn scholarships of up to $4,000 thanks to a partnership between the company and the National Restaurant Association Education Foundation (NRAEF). The scholarships are a great opportunity for eligible employees who desire to continue their education in food service-related fields.


The following are the eligibility requirements:

High School Seniors

  • Be currently employed at a Bob Evans Restaurant
  • Have a minimum, cumulative grade point average of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale
  • Have performed a minimum of 250 hours of foodservice-related work experience verified by pay stubs or letter(s) from employer(s)
  • Have applied and gained acceptance to a foodservice-related post-secondary program, either full-time or substantial part-time, and plan to enroll in a minimum of two terms for the new school year (verified by copy of the acceptance letter from the college/university)
  • Submit a letter of recommendation on letterhead from a current/previous employer

Attention Student Government Members:

Greetings again from Harlan Bivens Co-Director of the Better Detroit Youth Movement.  I was once a speaker at one of your meetings and wanted to share information with you on some of our upcoming activities and events that you can assist with.  


The BDYM and Infinite Scholars will host a Scholarship Fair where the class of 2010 and others can apply to schools FREE and may be eligible to receive on site admission and scholarships to participating schools.  The Scholarship fairs are know to generate at least $20-40 MILLION in scholarship offerings to students.  You will find the remainder of the information in the attachments.

Thing you will need:
- Copies of your high school transcripts with ACT/SAT scores
- 2 Letters of Recommendation
- and Copies of your resume

Disney/UNCF Scholarship Program

United Negro College Fund and Disney are offering two scholarships for eligible students. Students must have a least a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale, attend a UNCF college or university, and have an interest in the arts, hotel hospitality, or communications.


Eligible majors include Communications, Theater Arts/Drama, Music, Art, Business, Hospitality Management, Hospitality Administration, Hotel Management, and Performing Arts.


Disney is the largest media and entertainment conglomerate in the world. Their corporate headquarters and primary production facilities are located at The Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California.

Bill Cosby Screenwriting Program

This program was established by Drs. Bill and Camille Cosby at the University of Southern California's School of Cinema-Television.


Unaffiliated with USC, the Hanks-Miller Program is geared toward increasing the pool of qualified African-American writers in the entertainment industry. The program has single-handedly brought more successful African-American writers into the entertainment industry than any other program of its type.


Our program is not designed for beginning level writers. We are seeking writers who have taken the initiative to formally study television or feature writing through workshops or classes; a degree is not necessary. In an industry that is extremely competitive, we have found our greatest success in assisting those who have a strong foundation in television or screen writing.

Siemens Competition For Math, Science and Technology Students  E-mail

The Siemens Foundation, in partnership with the College Board, established the Siemens Competition. The Competition promotes excellence by encouraging students to undertake individual or team research projects in science, mathematics, engineering, and technology or in combinations of these disciplines.


With its high academic standards, rigorous judging process, and emphasis on authentic scientific research, it has quickly become the leading science and mathematics research-based competition for high school students in the United States.
