Statement From Cross Movement Records On Artist "Ambassador"

Below is a statement from CROSS MOVEMENT RECORDS. The Rocspace staff is praying for The Ambassador and the entire Cross Movement Family.

It is with much grief, severe disappointment and an overwhelming fear of the Lord that Cross Movement Records is sad to announce that we will be discontinuing the forwarding and promotion of the Artist and Minister, The Ambassador AKA William “Duce” Branch, due to recent findings of moral failure in his marriage.  It is CMR’s past, current and prayerfully, future position that living in moral compromise is unacceptable and never allowable in the lives of any of the ministers that we co-labor with. We continue to hold up the teachings of Christ as the standard for all Christians and especially those in Christian leadership and public ministry. Although it is a rare find these days, discipline is still one of the true marks of the true Church.

That being said, we also know according to Hebrews 12:6 that “whom The Lord loves He disciplines.” So we know that our beloved brother Duce is under the Lord’s loving care (Hebrews 12:5-11). We at CMR solicit your prayers for him as he begins the uphill climb of restoration through the process of repentance. We also ask that you remember his wife and children in your quiet time with our Lord as well. We are reminded by Galatians 6:1, that we are to work toward the restoration of our dear brother in due season and also to do such in the spirit of meekness, considering ourselves lest we also be tempted.

Lastly, some that have had this circumstance announced to them through other sources have begun to suggest some type of cover-up or a sweeping under the carpet by CMR because of a slight delay in this statement versus the announcement that has already happened in William Branch’s church. This is the farthest thing from the truth. This matter was unbeknownst to CMR and upon discovery we have taken the proper time to speak with the Lord, The Ambassador, his church leadership and many other Christian leaders regarding this issue. After seeking wisdom and allowing the appropriate amount of time to make sure we had all the issues in full consideration, we have come forward as quickly as we were able to after completing this process.

In conclusion, we apologize for the effect that this may have on many who have followed and supported The Ambassador, Cross Movement and Cross Movement Records for many years. Despite this unfortunate occurrence, CMR and all of its artist/ministers continue committed, our resolve unaffected, with the mission of making the message of the Cross known to the world. Again, we ask for your prayers as we keep our hands to the plow, heal our wounded and worship the God of our Salvation. We remain Christ’s and your servant.

    This isn't over there are more Artist who have missed the mark, praise God there is help when it's needed! No one should lose fellowship or have their relationship with the Lord hindered by this...we are to work out our (OWN) salvation with fear and trembling! Whatever any man does or say should not stop our relationship with Him, the Most High! The enemy will try anything to make that happen...but we are flesh and blood...Saints keep rolling, this to shall pass!

    When I say stayed in the dark, I'm saying that it would have been handled behind closed doors... For years CM have held a standard... I thinks about Enock who was in the ministry with CM and because of situations, there was a pardon... When he came out with his solo joint Awthentic, he spoke on all the struggles he faced while in the group... Do all the artist struggle with it? IDK but we must remember, if not by the grace of God then there go I...

    I know based off the relationship that Ambassador shows with the Lord throughout his music, and God's desire to restore, that he and his family will bounce back from it. I know that CMR have a standard that all ministries should have when it comes to immoral behavior... It's simple, if it's something that is in the dark then I'm quite sure it would have stayed in the dark but when things are exposed in the open it must be dealt with in the open... Praise God for the stand and the public announcement as to how CM is handling the situation and Big ups to God for bringing the family together.... (Lord help me to deal with my sin before you deal with it)!!!!

    When I heard of what happen, though I was not surprise, because anyone of us could fall.... my heart broke. It was the ministry of CM, (along with The Ambassador) who convinced me become an artist. Heb. 12:1 talks about that one sin that we carry, that so easily beset us. You know that one thing the enemy throws in front of you and we trip... We all have short comings... When something like this happen we should always do a self examination of our own lives to see about our own short comings... Our thoughts, actions speech...

    Words cant describe what I have been feeling for years on this record company they shouldnt have put his business to the world. Internet is worldwide .. I respect this company but wow!
    They are not God .. Ambassador is amazing man of God ..
    I really think its arrogant for record companies to put on their sites that they are biblically solid and above everybody else .. Let Christ be the Judge .. What does the streets say about this ? Does this help the Non- Believer ? Oh I forgot this platform is for the church generation. There artists behind close doors speak against canton jones and many other great warriors let God be the Judge .. Ambassador ..u will always be the Ambassador to the Lost .. there message is the same old country song .. lets talk against money and fame ..they cant rap about anything else its always bashing the believer as who made these guys the POLICE FOR DA GOSPEL, it gets Old .. Christ sees us all equal in his own eyes .. Keep Yah Head up !!

    CMR, I understand that through no fault of your own, you've been positioned in a compromising situation. While the Amabassador is weathering his test, you now have to pass yours. There is no denying that God joined CMR and the Ambassador together. My question is, can CMR stand by God's decision to join the both of you together, even in the most uncomfortable of times. Unfortunately, public statements don't have the ability to tell the whole story. They normally do more harm that good. Don't let the pressure guide you, that's God's job.

    Cross Movement is more that a record company. Like a church, it's a ministry with spiritual leaders. However, because of their genre they must have more integrity than your local preachers. The people that they reach on a daily basis have an ability to look past the fluff and call it like it is. This particular ministry must stay real to be successful in transforming lives. Not to mention, the resilience it takes to represent the "Body of Christ" when so many think that you're playing church. These men and women are serious.

    Ambassador, my heart hurts for you and your family. Iv'e been threw some heavy times, because of other peoples indescretions. Dealing with this publicly seems unrecoverable and the pain is great. I promise that if you stay in prayer, focus only on your priorities, and keep your cool the other side will bring your greatest annointing. You just have to make it thru and be humble. DO NOT RETALLIATE. Remember, people did not get you in this and they can't get you out (that's God's job). Even in this He has a plan. Trust Him!

    I feel your christian record company is doing way more to judge this artist than help him. I do appreciate your reference to scripture, however, you did not include to one that references when your brother is overtaken in a fault you who are spiritual restore such a one in the spirit of meekness. Meekness is not what I have read here, covering yourselves is order of this message. You ask that we pray for him as he starts his uphill climb to restoration through repentance. I believe that his uphill climb past this e-blast will be a much harder one than through repentance. The scripture states that while we are yet asking God is granting. Unfortuantly I do not know this artist, or your company and it is with poor taste and no christian brotherly love that you have caused countless people to judge, mock, and discount this young man needlessly. I trust that he has repented and if so you no longer judge him you judge the blood of Jesus.. I love God and his people, but surely we ALL have SINNED! :\
