Kirk FranklinAs the death toll from the recent earthquake in Haiti continues to climb, Kirk Franklin has taken the lead in rallying up the gospel community to come together to produce a song that wil help to raise funds for the relief efforts in Haiti.

During the weekend of the 2010 Stellar Awards in Nashville, TN last week, Kirk Franklin made a personal plea to the gospel community to take part in the recording of ARE YOU LISTENING: A LOVE SONG FOR HAITI to help raise funds to help those in Haiti who are desperately in need.

"We see these people as God's children," Franklin said. "We want to do our part and I just want people to know that the gospel community can respond to a powerful natural disaster, and for the first time it will."

Rocspace was in the studio on both Thursday and Friday as more than 150 participants and gospel singers donated thier time: Pastor Donnie McClurkin, Neechy, Brian Courtney Wilson, Karen Clark Sheard - Kierra Sheard, J. Moss, Melinda Watts, Micah Stampley, Brittany Chenae, Jessica Reedy, Mary Mary, Sophie Bellvue, John Gray, James Fortune and a host of other willing and committed participants.
